This is a facilities maintenance position for a 7-12 public charter school and will consist of the following duties: - General cleaning of the entire facility during school year - Perform maintenance in all areas of handyman repairs including plumbing, painting, general repair, replacing filters in rooftop air handlers, some landscaping, moving furniture, mounting A/V equipment to walls and ceilings, etc. - Deep cleaning projects in summer including carpets, waxing floors, wall repair and painting, etc. - Maintain relationship with state inspectors and insurance reps to comply with all federal and state safety code - Serve as liaison between Merit and vendors and service companies to coordinate ordering of cleaning materials, inventory management, and oversee all service and major repairs on building and equipment - Conduct required safety testing on fire sprinkler system quarterly
Relocation costs may be covered.
Must have applicable experience and pass background check to work in a school setting. Will report directly to Assistant Director and provide all needed documentation and reports
