    Job Description

    Under general direction of senior management, the PMO Manager provides leadership and drives accountability for project champions who are responsible for developing and implementing the initiatives that support the strategic objectives of VMI. This position ensures the successful management of designed business solutions utilizing the assigned project management teams. The PMO Manager provides assistance in identifying, evaluating and developing methods and procedures that are efficient, effective and meet good business practice. This individual maintains excellent communication with upper management to ensure smooth running of all projects undertaken by VMI champions and is able to lead in the coaching and mentoring of project champions to help them achieve expectations and deliverables. This position also assesses resource loads and makes appropriate assignments ??? driving organizational effectiveness and accountability. Also, this individual serves as a key liaison with the rest of the functional groups and business facilitating planning, prioritization and collaboration between groups. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will possess the ability to multi-task, stay focused, and produce results that are timely and accurate. The successful applicant will maintain professionalism and possess the ability to exercise good judgment with confidential and proprietary information. Core duties and responsibilities include the following, and other duties may be assigned: ??? Provides supervision and guidance to the project champions and team members. ??? Participates in company strategic planning processes; provides recommendations on policies and goals desired; and implements performance tracking of new/revised project initiatives. ??? Ensures that all projects are proceeding according to timelines, meeting targets and expectations, and adhering to established operating parameters; negotiates changes in project resources as necessary to achieve objectives and timelines. ??? Requires direct one-on-one as well as group basis interaction with project teams and the steering committee. ??? Provides direction to project teams including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks and technical functions. ??? Coordinates and actively participates in all stages of project development including research, design and implementation. ??? Coordinates changes of considerable consequences to the scope and schedule of the project. ??? Leads and coordinates weekly project update meetings, and documents project status and issues. ??? Apprises senior management and the project Steering Committee of project status, issues and concerns in monthly update meeting. ??? Actively pursues resolutions to challenges that are barriers to the completion of the various process redesigns and projects. ??? Create, refine, and enforce a structured process for the design, development, and deployment of all corporate systems. ??? Evaluate business objectives that require new processes or enhancements to existing processes. ??? Support project initiatives, including identifying and analyzing preliminary business needs, budget considerations, time and resource estimates, defining the project scope and objectives, and getting business user sign-off. ??? Interfaces regularly with business unit managers to define project direction and process change priorities.

    Qualifications: ??? Bachelor's Degree, Master???s preferred ??? 4 years work experience in related fields ??? Advanced knowledge of Project Management software applications ??? Six Sigma Certification and/or other project management certifications ??? Strong Communication and interpersonal skills ??? Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means. ??? Strong time management, organizational, and analytical skills, including attention to detail ??? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, problem solve, and multi-task
