    Job Description

    Welder/Fitter needed for a construction company in Lehi. Will be working in the shop and in the field. Must be proficient Welder/Fitters requiring little to no supervision or direction. Requirements: Experienced and proficient using MIG / TIG / and Stick. Required Skills include: MIG WELDING, ALUMINUM TIG WELDING, ARC WELDING, and COMBINATION WELDING. Must be available to work 10 to 12 hour days when required; Must be available to work weekends when required; Must have the ability to turn out high volume and high end parts consistently; Preference will be given to those with a minimum of 2 years welding experience; Certified Welding is preferred; Company offers comprehensive benefits to include medical, dental, optical, one week vacation, and optional 401k. Shifts will be Monday through Friday and some Saturday work for additional overtime. EEO/Affirmative Action Employer.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ??? Proficient in assigned welding techniques ??? Interpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology ??? Knowledge of wire and filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials ??? Working knowledge of fix-turing and weld set up parameters (amps, volts, etc.) ??? Conventional and precision measuring instruments ??? Process inspection, certification, and documentation ??? Welding equipment maintenance ??? Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools ??? Safety and Housekeeping ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ??? Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS ??? High School diploma, or equivalent, and: ??? Successful completion of an internal welding test ??? One-year experience in various forms of welding PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Degree: VERY HEAVY WORK. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The physical demands of this position are important to your safety and the safety of those working around you. It is important that you can think and move quickly and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Physical Surrounding and Hazards (Conditions that the worker may be subject to): ??? The worker may be required to work out of town and/or shift work. ??? The worker is subject to a variety of environmental conditions, both inside and out. ??? The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions with no effective protection from weather. ??? The worker is subject to extreme cold - temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. ??? The worker is subject to extreme heat - temperatures in excess of 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. ??? The worker is subject to noise - sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the surrounding noise level. ??? The worker is subject to vibration - exposure to oscillation movement of the extremities of the whole body. ??? The worker is subject to hazards. This category includes, but is not limited to, close proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, elevated working surfaces, exposure to heat and exposure to chemicals (airborne and/or skin exposure). ??? The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
