Holladay Preschool seeks an enthusiastic and experienced Director at our developmentally-based preschool. The ideal candidate exhibits strong leadership skills in management, human resources, financial administration, communication and educational development. Preferred background is a degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology or similar area with managerial and teaching experience. The Director will work closely with the Holladay United Church of Church pastor and Church Council in maintaining the excellent reputation and child-centered philosophy of Holladay Preschool.
This is a contract position.
Relocation costs may be covered.
The Director may be an experienced preschool teacher who has additional background in psychology and child development. Or the director may be trained in psychology (M.S. or Ph.D.) or sociology behavioral science. It would be preferable in this case if the director had special knowledge in the area of preschool and elementary education; otherwise this knowledge should be obtained through observation and study in the field of early childhood education. The director would be expected to keep up to date through college courses, conference attendance, workshop attendance, research, and reading. The position of the director is 31 hours paid.
