KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The right candidate for the Assistant Controller position will be a proven ???A??? player, with enough experience to a) take primary responsibility for, and to independently complete, the Accounting function and all of the related entries, accruals, reconciliations, etc.; b) independently identify, execute, document and report related assignments and tasks thereto, including regulatory compliance; c) assist with the management of the rest of the Finance, Accounting and HR Team members, d) proactively drive new systems, process and organizational improvement and cost savings initiatives; e) assist in building out, configuring and deploying online, internal, project mgt, collaboration, HR and Mgt / KPI Dashboard software; and f) provide support for modeling, execution and documentation for more complex financial transactions, such as Options Pricing, Valuations, Capital Budgeting, M&A Opportunity Evaluation, etc. Other tasks include: ??? Daily Cash Mgt (Wires, ACH, Balances, Transfers) & Bank Account Mgt / Recon, Policy / Protocols; ??? Oversight of Daily Sales, A/R, Collections, A/P and Payroll; ??? Taxes ??? Fed, State, Payroll, Sales & Use, etc., Regulatory Reporting & Compliance; ??? Timely Month-End Close (including all monthly allocations and accruals) and Financial Statement Prep, Ad Hoc Reporting; ??? Analytics, KPI Metrics, Modeling, Operational Budgeting & Forecasting; ??? Assist with Financial Reviews, Board Meeting Prep, 3rd Party Audits, Valuations, M&A Analysis; ??? Fixed Asset Mgt, Depreciation Schedules; ??? Online Dashboard Creation / Monitoring, Financial ??? Operational Systems Integration, Data Mining, Data Reconciliation, QA, Project Mgt; ??? Assist the Accounting Team Mgt & Provide Training / Guidance and Cross Training; ??? Compensation, HR Policy, Process, Protocols; and ??? Other duties as requested / required.

QUALIFICATIONS / CHARACTERISTICS ??? 5 ??? 7 Years of Total Work Experience; ??? Minimum 3 Years (preferably 5 Years) as an Assistant Controller, as a Senior Accountant or Team Lead, or potentially as a 1st or 2nd Year Manager; or other relevant experience; ??? Required Bachelor???s Degree in Accounting plus a) Master???s Degree in Accounting or b) CPA, with c) MBA, a plus; ??? Expert with QuickBooks, and preferably strong experience with a true double entry accounting system; ??? Expert with Excel and Word, and strong Access and/or some other equivalent DB software experience a big plus, and Proj Mgt applications a plus; ??? Previous systems integration, programming, auditing and operations experience preferred; ??? Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills; ??? Ability to multi-task and help prioritize workloads within the Accounting Team; and ??? Detail oriented, focused, self-starter.
