Energy Modeler Construct engineering and economic models/simulations to represent the energy performance of buildings, in order to evaluate and quantify the impact of policy, design, retrofit and operational decisions, as part of national energy efficiency certification applications, and other tasks related to energy use in buildings. Produce energy simulations in eQUEST, or, potentially, other Performance Rating Method type programs,* including specifying and coordinating site survey, and validation of model by application of site survey data. Practical experience with mechanical systems a plus. Work will initially be part time and intermittent, but is likely to rapidly increase to full time. May require travel across USA. * (Such as Autodesk Green Building Studio, DesignBuilder, DOE-2.1E, DOE-2.1E-JJH, DOE-2.2, EnergyGauge, EnergyGauge Summit, EnergyPlus, EnergyPro, EnerSim, Hourly Analysis Program (HAP), IES, Owens Corning Commercial Energy Calculator (OC-CEC), Tas, TRACE 700, TRNSYS with TESS Libraries, VisualDOE.)
Relocation costs may be covered.
Accurately enter building energy parameters in approved energy modeling software. Supervise and check on-site energy surveys.
