Sales Engineer Position 40 year old manufacturers' representation firm seeks a sales engineer. This professional will serve existing and future customers, helping them understand, compare and contrast engineering adaptations of represented products, services and equipment solutions to satisfy their needs. The sales engineer will use their expertise, coupled with factory support to identify application requirements, troubleshoot existing applications, provide training and the customer service required for the successful sale, installation operation and maintenance of our products and services. Position responsibilities: ??? Identifies current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements. Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests. ??? Establish new accounts by identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales call schedule. ??? Prepare cost estimates by studying drawings, plans, and related customer documents; consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel. ??? Order submittals ??? Gain customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating cost reductions and operation improvements. ??? Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends. ??? Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending factory trainings, educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establish personal networks and participation in professional societies. ??? Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by indentifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; provide information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing directives. ??? Participates in team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. ??? Travel up to 2 weeks per month

Preferred Qualifications: ??? Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution; Mechanical Engineering preferred ??? 3 to 5 years technical sales experience ??? Experience in power industrial and HVAC industries ??? Ability to set priorities, plan and organize ??? Strong presentation, training and communication skills ??? Willingness to learn and adept at building relationships ??? Must have strong work ethic, be a self-starter and have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
