Job Description
Deseret Digital Media is looking for independent contractors to edit content for a new, family-based website called FamilyShare.com. Our mission is to be trusted voices that enlighten, strengthen and inspire hundreds of millions of families worldwide. We are interested in hiring individuals who share our vision.
Responsibilities
Log into web-based software and work from home.
Proofread and content edit articles.
Work directly with writers to ensure that articles are high quality and fit our particular style.
Give effective feedback to writers to help improve their writing skills.
Deliver articles in a timely manner.

Requirements
Bachelors degree in journalism, English, communications, or related field.
5+ years professional editing.
10+ strong experience in family and parenting.
Firm grasp on grammar, general writing principles, and the English language.
Ability to write in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand manner.
Excellent communication skills, both in person and in print.
Quick turn around.
Ability to act independently, with little supervision.
Must be willing and capable of adapting to ever-changing media policies and practices to help the company stay ahead in a competitive market.
Must have access to a computer and high speed internet.
Must be able to complete paid training in Salt Lake City.
5+ years professional editing.
