Job Title: Accounting Specialist Job Purpose: Supports accounting and payroll operations in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, detailed oriented environment. Accounting Duties: Maintains accounting records by making copies; filing documents. Reconcile bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger. Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries. Maintains Accounts Payable, including staff credit card expenses and mileage reimbursement. Reconciles multiple home and personal petty cash accounts. Assist with Billing and Accounts Receivable Contributes to team effort. Accomplishes accounting and organizational mission by completing related results as needed. Payroll Duties: Maintains payroll information in Platinum Pay. Supervises and reviews online time keeping system through Swipeclock.com Processes semi-monthly payroll, reconciles payroll prior to transmission & validates confirmed reports Researches and resolves payroll discrepancies/issues. Manages workflow processes to ensure that all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. Processes payroll garnishments in an accurate and timely manner. Assists staff with training, payroll issues and payroll related requests. Maintains payroll operations by following policy and procedures; reporting any needed changes. Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

Required Skills/Qualifications: Minimum 5 years Accounting/Bookkeeping experience, Attention to Detail, Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast paced work environment, Organization Skills, Dealing with Complexity, Analyzing Information, Data Entry Skills, Confidentiality, Thoroughness, General Math Skills, Productivity/Efficiency, PC Proficiency, Financial Software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word and Access), Reporting Skills, Verbal & Written Communication Skills, and a positive work ethic with initiative to ???do what it takes to get the job done???. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Associates in Business/Accounting, Pivot Tables, Quicken, Swipeclock, and Platinum Pay.
