    Job Description

    To be knowledgeable of principles and practices of PC diagnosis and repair, browser and software configurations, laptop and desktop hardware replacement, network printer setup, and basic networking. Must have; effective phone and email skills, undefeatable troubleshooting skills, excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills

    ??? Efficiently performs day-to-day help desk operations for the field and the processing of support tickets per policies and instructions ??? Prepares, configures, and ships new workstations, replacement workstations, and other equipment per policies and instructions ??? Reaches out to field locations for information to resolve problems ??? Confronts problems creatively, but within procedure, to increase efficiency and reduce downtime for users ??? Completes given daily tasks adequately and effectively. Remains on task when a given assignment is requested. Uses time effectively ??? Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems. ??? Assists in decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, procedures, to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed ??? Adheres to assigned work schedules ??? Performs other related duties as required and assigned ??? Resolves problems correctly and independently with little need for follow up ??? Contacts ISP to schedule repairs and troubleshoot internet and phone problems over the phone with stores when necessary ??? Can work well under pressure and in a team environment Requirements: ??? 1-3 years professional experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing PC/Network /Printer related problems ??? 1-2 years phone help desk experience preferred but not required ??? Proficient in Windows XP/7 setup and configuration ??? Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications ??? Demonstrate excellent writing and oral skills ??? Available nights and weekends ??? Ability to lift 30 lbs unassisted ??? Pass a background check
