Job Description
Great Basin Corporation (GBC), a startup focused on rapid molecular diagnostics is seeking lab technicians for its research lab in Salt Lake City, UT. We are a young company with exciting patent-pending technology for the fast growing point-of-care diagnostics market. We are developing rapid tests to screen for a wide variety of infectious diseases and genetic conditions. We are seeking an individual to work as part of the Reagent Formulation team. This individual will be responsible for preparing reagents to support Great Basin Manufacturing and Research & Development activities. The successful candidate will collaborate with Quality Assurance in the verification of raw materials for manufacturing use. Reagent formulation is performed in a clean environment utilizing aseptic technique, and following SOP's, while maintaining proper documentation.

Contributing member of Great Basin reagent formulations team.
Drive continual process improvements
Being a member of a team to prepare reagents for manufacturing following SOP's, MP and documenting the work in batch records while adhering to Great Basin QSR/GMP and safety regulations as they apply to the laboratory and work areas.
Maintain laboratory ingredients, chemicals, reagents, and relevant documentation.
Work collaboratively across functions
Compliance with all Great Basin safety requirements
Works independently, self-starter
BS degree in scientific discipline and 0-3 years’ experience in Biotech or IVD industry.
Previous experience working under ISO or QSR/GMP guidelines for regulated molecular assays is a plus.
Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and organized with the ability to follow instructions for formulations.
U.S. permanent residency required
Biotech experience a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
