Job Description
We are seeking a Corporate Human Resources Manager to join our team. This position is based in Centerville, Utah and travels extensively.
The position provides human resources support, technical assistance, staff training and guidance to the MTC corporate office and multiple locations.
Essential Functions include:
• Coordinate completion of new and revised position descriptions, salary structures and organizational charts as approved by corporate and customer; suggest and make changes as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, current and approved positions descriptions, salary structures and organizational charts for each facility. Provide assistance to ensure effective Affirmative Action and staff training programs.
• Participate on corporate reviews by reviewing all aspects of the center's human resources department to include, staff training, employee benefits records, employee files, affirmative action records, etc.
• Provide training and policy interpretation of human resources plans for operational personnel in local administrative functions.
• Provide staff training and evaluate staff performance, as required.
• Review personnel actions for new hires, promotions, demotions, transfers, termination, etc.; coordinate approvals as required by the Decision Analysis Table (DAT).
• Review and coordinate revisions of policies, procedures, manuals and forms relating to human resources; recommend direction on implementation.
• Review responses to employee grievance and discrimination claims and civil law suits.
• Maintain awareness and understanding of new and revised laws and regulations pertaining to human resources; conduct research as necessary.
• Assist the director, corporate human resources in the development of the departmental budget; monitor and control expenditures.
• Participate in human resources projects as determined by the director, human resources.
• Gather and analyze wage and salary information for all new contract proposals and existing contracts as necessary.
• Prepare contract proposals as they pertain to human resources.
• Assist with communication of employee benefit information.
• Assist in ensuring proper administration of wages and benefits subject to Davis Bacon and Service Contract Act requirements.
• Assist in providing oversight to ensure compliance with union agreements.
• Act as director, human resources in his/her absence.
• Provide innovations and suggestions for streamlining and enhancing the corporate human resources functions.
It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.
Requirements
Education & Experience Requirements:
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field and have three years directly related experience, two of which must be supervisory. Experience should include employment, compensation, employee and labor relations, affirmative action and staff training and development. Must have word processing and spreadsheet experience. Must be willing and able to travel extensively. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Unless waived by management, valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
