Job Description
• Take messages first thing every morning and as needed during day. Deal with as many messages as you can; pass other appropriate messages on to employees or managers.
• Respond to customer service e-mails for accounts assigned to you. Resolve as many issues as you can; forward other emails to appropriate employees or managers.
• Set up online ordering accounts for potential business clients in response to e-mails or system-based inquiries.
• Take primary responsibility to answer phone, and assist walk-in customers. Take customer orders unless they specifically ask for someone else. Resolve all issues you can, answer all questions you can. Ask for help when needed or pass on to other employees or managers.
• Enter all phone, mail, or fax orders into our order processing system (NetSuite).
• Print labels, fliers, price lists and other items as needed.
• Perform daily billing of orders shipped that day. File hard copies of receipts.
• Keep store or showcase area well stocked, clean and tidy.
• Help with outgoing mailers. Address and mail (or fax) other correspondence.
• Oversee and/or help to execute our Rework Procedure (Returns, Exchanges, Errors). Process credit memos. Identify root causes of errors and oversee putting improvements in place.
• Make add-on sales when appropriate to needs of customers.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Cooperate with fellow-workers at all levels, helping them to achieve their accountabilities.
• Continually improve: Track problems in your area, identifying the cost and root cause; put corrective actions in place.
• Hours are approximately 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Requirements
• Applicants will need to be available to work from approximately March through September 2013.
• Experience: 2 years customer service as a receptionist, office assistant or telephone customer service rep (CSR).
• Knowledge: Basic e-commerce.
• Proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel,G-Mail and business telephone etiquette
• Education: High school or equivalent
