Job Description
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Review daily production schedule for effective utilization of labor.
Manage department budgets and hourly labor wage.
Insure proper packaging and labeling of product.
Insure appropriate distribute of work orders and MPS to appropriate lines.
Review MPS with appropriate personnel for proper product assembly.
Controls product waste and makes adjustments if waste is higher.
Monitor production line flow to optimize product safety and yields.
Insure work orders are completed as requested for quality and scheduling requirements.
Continually monitor Production areas for required sanitation.
Provide proper guides and mentoring to subordinates in food safety programs and GMPs practices.
Insure required Quality policies and procedures are followed: HACCP, SQF, Allergens.
Audit use of proper GMPs by employees.
Lead all aspects of company Safety process for the shift including training and audits.
Audit employees time sheets and insure proper clock in and clock outs per employee are done in ADP.
Review cost of goods report for accuracy and completeness.
Review variance reports and evaluate for opportunities.
Plan/schedule next days production run with subordinates.
Perform formal, true root cause analysis to identify and resolve downtime and /or inefficient operational issues.

Bachelors degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four year college or technical school; or six years of related experience and/ or and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bilingual in Spanish and English highly desired.
Familiarity with HACCP compliance procedures.
Familiarity of product specifications.
Experience with SQF, AIB, GFSI
Experience in lean manufacturing, 5S and 6 Sigma highly desired.
Knowledge of safe food handling, training and manufacturing techniques a plus.
Strong communication and organization skills.
Able to work flexible hours.
