We are a premiere full-service construction firm here in SLC, looking to hire an Estimator/ Production Manager. The basic function of the Estimator/Production Manager is to organize, motivate, and lead the production staff in a wide range of areas, including estimating, planning,leadership, and operations. The Estimator/Production Manager is responsible for the combined performance of the production team and for ensuring that everyone knows and reaches their targets. They may set the targets and/or receive them from the General Manager. The Estimator/ Production Manager is also responsible for all estimating required by the sales department. The successful candidate must ensure appropriate quality standards, Maximize fair profit potential,and perform purchasing activities to insure materials are bought and available when each project is ready. Estimator/Production Manager will implement and manage project cost control strategies and provide accurate forecasting and control reporting.

Successful candidates will need to have: ??? Ability to manage several projects concurrently from pre-construction through completion ??? Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with field personnel, office staff, customers, vendors and owners. ??? Strong knowledge of estimating and project management software, preferably Quickbooks and Planswift. ??? Ability to independently make informed decisions and commitments within company parameters ??? Practice and promote safe work practices ??? Estimate and submit change orders. ??? Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing etc.) to protect the company???s interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the client.
