Job Description
I need salespeople who can either physically canvas businesses in the greater Salt Lake City/Ogden/Wasatch Front area, or utilize any existing connections they may have to businesses, selling commercial postal mail (*not* email/spam) services. For example, I deal with preparing, printing, folding and inserting account statements, renewal notices, billing notices; essentially anything that a business prints or mails to their clientele on a regular basis. My main target is variable data laser printing (as I mentioned before), but you'd also be possibly selling/upselling inkjet addressing/printing, database cleansing, mailing lists, machine tabbing, and more. I plan to also expand services to include appointment reminders/reschedulers, optional email transmission of the statements/invoices, and payment portals.

Essentially I need salespeople who are comfortable, experienced and prepared in making business-to-business contacts whether through existing professional connections or by literally going to different businesses in person. I'll provide you with a rudimentary understanding of the how our business operates and I'll do my best to answer any questions you might have about it.

If possible I'd like to have you spend some time working at our location so you'll have hands-on experience in what we do. This would be paid at $9.50 - $10.00 per hour depending on experience and performance.

Otherwise, when acting as salesperson, you'll be provided with commission pay for each successful sale with the option for residuals for accounts that provide recurring projects/work.

Initially, you'll be paid directly as an independent contractor and those earnings would be reported on a 1099 form at the end of the year. Hourly pay may be an option later on if that interests you.
Requirements
I'm located in Ogden, so if you're in the Salt Lake area you'll need to be able to commute up here at least once per week so we can meet, coordinate and plan, particularly once we've built a sufficient team to make it a more effective use of time. If you'd like to use FrontRunner to save gas I'll be happy to shuttle you from the depot to our shop and back. You'll need reliable transportation to get to and from customer locations. I don't care what you do on your own time but I do expect you to be sober and cognizant when on-duty.

Hours are flexible, but obviously the more you can be available during typical working hours, the more effective you'll be. This can be part-time or full-time. Again, I only ask that you are able to physically attend a meeting in Ogden once per week at 9:30AM Wednesdays.
