Job Description
The Art Director leads the creative strategy for Jewel Kade’s brand, as well as assumes responsibility for the design of a wide variety of training, promotional, advertising and marketing collateral to support the ongoing marketing and communications efforts of JK and its independent sales representatives. A degree of creativity and latitude is expected, while the position is also solely responsible for all graphic development from conception through production. No current management responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions:
Participate in creative strategy meetings and develop new design concepts relative to Jewel Kade’s evolving brand, ongoing marketing campaigns, special events, social media and training needs. Design effective, results-oriented promotional, advertising and sales-oriented marketing collateral for a wide range of assignments, including training and sales materials, two annual catalogs and files for electronic broadcast. Spec materials and prepare files for print or electronic distribution. Attend press checks as needed for approval of art, color, quality and layout. Manage the creative aspect of on-location photo shoots and provide creative direction to in-house photography staff.

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years professional graphic design within an organization’s creative or marketing communication department or with an advertising agency. BA/BS/BFA in Graphic Design or equivalent degree required. Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. HTML experience preferred. Good communication & organizational skills with a willingness to share ideas within a team setting, receive constructive direction, and contribute in a collaborative effort.
