Job Description
Great Basin Corporation, a startup focused on rapid molecular diagnostics, is seeking temporary production assemblers for its manufacturing facility in Salt Lake City, UT. We are a young company with exciting patent-pending technology for the fast growing point-of-care diagnostics market. The assembler will be working as part of the Instrument Manufacturing team to assemble, and assist in troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes and procedures.
Assemble electromechanical, subassemblies, products, or systems.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
Be self-motivated and proactive in completing assigned tasks and identifying unacceptable conditions.
Be an enthusiastic, reliable, strong team player.
Comply with policies, guidelines and regulatory requirements per the Quality System.
Interact on a regular basis with engineers and instrument manufacturing personnel.
Thrive in a highly dynamic multitasking medical device development and manufacturing environment.
Flexibility in work schedule (occasional weekend or evening work) preferred

Requirements
Skill Set:
Ability to work in a fast-paced development, engineering, and manufacturing environment.
Experience with electromechanical assembly and associated documentation.
Soldering experience strongly desired.
Excellent attention to detail on repetitive tasks.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Previous medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English
These are temporary positions without benefits that may evolve into full time positions with a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance, a 401k, and a flexible vacation policy. Pay range is $10.00 to 12.00 per hour depending on experience.
