The Youth Counselor is responsible for implementing a substance abuse prevention after school program with youth ages 5-12 that live in low-income public housing communities. The program uses a model curriculum Too Good for Drugs and Violence. The curriculum focuses on academic achievement and life building skills such as goal setting, decision making and conflict resolution. The position is part time, 20 hours per week. The hours for the position are Monday-Thursday 3:30-6:30 PM and Friday 1:30-7:00 PM.
Relocation costs may be covered.
Must be able to arrive on site to the different public housing communities on time Must be able to work Monday-Friday after school time hours
