Job Description
Ignite Spot Accounting is looking for a talented accountant to fill a Controller position. We are the outsourced accounting firm for businesses nationwide and offer bookkeeping, controller, CFO, payroll, and tax solutions to help business owners build more profitable companies.

You would work in our Layton, UT office and would be responsible for managing multiple clients.
Over time, you would manage a team of three to four bookkeepers and a portfolio of up to 35 different clients.
Our controllers are work horses. They are reliable, focused and client satisfaction experts. The controller is responsible for managing the bookkeepers, whether ours or the clients, holding weekly CEO updates with the client, and creating the month-end financial statements by the 15th of each month. Our clients rely on our controllers to be there for them when emergencies pop up, and our controllers always respond with a smile.

Requirements of an Ignite Spot Controller position:
•First and foremost, we expect you to have fun here
•We look for accountants that are addicted to growing their clients businesses
•We look for a good personality fit within our team environment
•We expect you to be able to look at a set of financial statements and spot issues within 10 minutes of review – be prepared to be tested on this in your interview
•You must be an excellent leader and capable of managing a team of bookkeepers and clients
•You must be committed to deadlines and getting work done on time
•You must have at least 3+ years of strong accounting experience
•You must be able to prepare GAAP ready financial statements
•You must be able to work at our office in Layton, UT
•Certification as a QuickBooks Pro Advisor is required
•You must be highly proficient with computers and working online
•You must be able to build rapport and valuable relationships
