    Job Description

    The Center for Excellence in Higher Education (CEHE) is an at-will employer that serves students by providing high-quality education services in a caring environment to everyone desiring to enhance their quality of life and employment potential. Job Summary: The creative director is the head of the department and is charged with determining the best ways for the company to visually represent our colleges' identity online, in print, and in video. This is a people-oriented job, involving working with internal marketing groups and campuses. Candidates will demonstrate concepts and designs and pitch those designs based on an understanding of the ???client's??? needs. This position will be responsible for developing company creative using internal design resources and possibly for recruiting and managing third party design firms. Qualifications: ?? Minimum 7 years??? experience required; direct response advertising experience preferred ?? Digital, TV, Radio, Print, Direct Mail experience are required ?? Must possess a thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design as well as industry best practices ?? Superior knowledge of layouts, graphic design, typography ?? Knowledge of design for the web; must have the ability to storyboard or translate ideas to designers and develop innovative motion graphics solutions ?? A strong working knowledge of interactive and involvement design, brand development, and creative process ?? Print and web design capabilities: must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns ?? Demonstrated ability to work with senior business executives and to help them articulate their messages to the customer ?? Translate executive visions into identity and creative that is breakthrough and compelling ?? Understanding of the offset and digital printing process and how to create efficiencies working with print vendors ?? Ability to lead projects from concept to completion. Apply best practices in user interface and interactive design, including image optimization and site mapping ?? Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign & Flash ?? Experience with Adobe After Effects & video editing are a plus ?? Knowledge of HTML a plus Essential Functions: ?? Establish creative direction for all advertising and marketing of online and on-ground programs ?? Set expectations and standards, building a culture for creative team attitude, behavior, teamwork and professional development. ?? Assure that presentations are on time, professional, engaging, persuasive and supported by a sound rationale ?? Develop and supervise creative and design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy ?? Supervise and inspire the creative team of vendor partners; generate multiple concepts for a campaign or project ?? Work with the marketing, advertising and creative services designers and copywriters to develop concepts and present to management ?? Manage creative services team members, including copywriters and graphic designers ?? Enforce the Style Guide and manage updates ?? Provide quality control over concepts and projects, including proofing, reviewing, measuring and evaluating staff performance, creative output and project processes Competencies: ??
