Job Description
Runs, monitors and/or creates portfolio risk and return analytics. Purchases and sells securities in the capital markets. Provides qualitative and quantitative analysis of fixed income securities. Builds asset models, runs sensitivity analyses, and monitors portfolio performance. Responsible for informing, reporting results to, and advising the Chief Investment Officer, Risk Manager, and Portfolio Manager.
Requirements
Requires an undergraduate degree—quantitative emphasis strongly preferred. MBA or Master’s degree in a related field is preferred—(e.g. Engineering, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Math or Statistics). Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation or commitment to begin the CFA program is preferred.
Good working knowledge of Excel is mandatory and programming experience is a plus. No institutional investment experience is required. Demonstrated ability to think critically in an analytical setting is necessary. Attention to detail is important. Effective communication skills, teamwork, flexibility and accuracy are critical.
