Job Description
HobbyTown USA is the nation’s largest HOBBY franchise. With over 160 stores nationwide
Our product mix includes remote control cars, trains, planes, helicopters, boats, rockets, models, paint, science and educational toys, games and much more.
HobbyTown USA is currently hiring temporary store setup and permanent sales associates for our new store location in West Jordan, Utah. Apply in person at the HobbyTown USA, 7019 S Redwood RD, February 28th 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM .

We will be accepting applications and conducting interviews during this time. We will not be calling for interviews. If interested in any of the positions for the West Jordan location please come at times outlined above.

Store setup schedule will be a temporary full-time position for 1 to 2 weeks starting Tuesday March 5, 2013. Employees will be scheduled Tuesday to Saturday from approx 8 am to 5 pm during set-up. Work will involve unloading trucks, lifting heavy boxes, building racks and shelving, setting up departments per dept. plans and organizing merchandise.

After the store set-up, positions will become part-time and hours scheduled will vary between 10-25 hours per week. Retail hours involve mornings, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays. Not all employees hired will be kept as team members once the store opens for business.

Sales Associates
We are looking for some very outgoing and honest people. Need to be able to learn and sell many different products. You will also need to be detailed oriented and love to work with people.

A successful Sales Associate will need to do the following:
• Greet customer as they enter the store
• Interview the customer to determine what products would best suit their needs
• Merchandise product and make sure the product looks neat and tidy
• Clean the store; including bathrooms, vacuuming and taking out trash
• Be detail oriented and verify that work is done properly
• Pay attention to customers to make sure questions are answered properly and to prevent shoplifting
• Be proficient with computers and be able to look up information, including parts for various radio control vehicles
A successful Assistant Manager will excel in the following:
• Handle customer complaints
• Handle product returns and exchanges
• Handle employee discounts
• Work with employees to ensure store is clean and organized
• Provide employee reviews to management
• Process and verify incoming orders
• Open and Close the store
• Work with management to refine processes and tasks
• Learn and become proficient in all product categories in the store
• Assist, organize and participate in store events

Requirements
A HobbyTown USA employment application is REQUIRED. The application must be filled out in full, any applications that are not filled out in full or reference the resume with “See Resume” will be REJECTED. You can also find the application on HobbyTown.com.
Hours will vary depending on store requirements, but in general will be between 15-30 hours per week. Shifts will also vary depending on the requirements of the store but will normally be between 10AM-8PM. Shifts are usually 10AM-4PM or 4PM-8:15PM.
Retail experience would be a plus along with an interest in Remote Control Cars, Planes and Helicopters. A High School diploma is required.
