Job Description
Job Overview
Responsible for ensuring financial, accounting, and human resource processes. Ensure that all customers have an exceptional experience interacting with our company, while achieving profitable growth. Establish, implement, and sustain effective financial controls, cash flow management, financial forecasting and accounting practices companywide.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities
Sustain an effective cash flow management system
Sustain effective human resource practices companywide
Sustain effective financial and accounting controls and financial forecasting
Cultivate and manage external financial relationships
Responsible for preparation and issuance of financial information for both internal and external purposes
Assure that all accounting practices follow established GAAP procedures and practices
Responsible for all tax matters of the company and ensuring compliance
Assure compliance of all legal and regulatory requirements
Protects and manages company assets by monitoring and enforcing internal controls
Establish, implement and sustain an effective contract review, management and approval system
Effectively teach and implement the Fetzer Improvement System (Standard Work, 8 Waste reductions, Continuous Improvement, Flexibility, Visual Controls, etc.)
Coach team members regularly and effectively, helps team members grow, ensures leaders are being developed
Establish a Continuous Improvement Culture within the accounting and human resource functions.
Establish, implement, and sustain an employee recognition program.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Clearly communicates and lives the company Mission, Values and Strategic Objectives
Recognize the contribution of individuals and promote their growth and development
Lead/participate in LEAN, System, Customer and Self-Assessment Audits as needed
Effectively works with the entire management team
Volunteer for, accept and complete assignments on time, is self-motivated and drives change
Give and accept feedback professionally, have an effective approach that utilizes tact and listening
Have a positive attitude, be easy to approach and able to develop trust with people
Effective problem solving skills and shares knowledge, ideas and suggests solutions
Practices all company Environmental / Security / Safety requirements
Achieves strategy development objectives and meets budget
Is continually learning and developing new skills and knowledge
Strong leadership, management and negotiation skills
Effectively works with the entire management team

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Accounting and previous controller experience required. Five years of relevant work experience
Outstanding people management experience with strong communication, both verbal and written
Must have good analytical/statistical and technical skills, ability to multi-task, good organizational skills and proficient in Quick Book and MS Office
Pass a drug and background check
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with construction accounting, finance, job costing, contract management and human resources in the wood-working industry
Demonstrates success in influencing and negotiating with key stakeholders in multiple environments
Proven abilities to execute a strategic / proficient and profitable relationship with customers and stakeholders
Involvement in local and national industry associations and councils
Bachelors Degree in Accounting and previous controller experience required. Five years of relevant work experience
