Job Description
The Information Systems Secretary supports district, state and federal reporting needs; assists with training and support in the use of the Student and Financial Systems; monitors the accuracy and completeness of student data and records; provides assistance and support for schools and departments, performs general clerical functions and maintains department records, reports and files. Example tasks include:
Aid in identifying and evaluating issues related to Student Information System and solving user problems.
Assist in the operation of the information systems help desk.
Assist with creation and delivering of Student System and Financial System training.
Generate reports and documents (memos, report cards, etc.).
Maintain manual and electronic files, reports and records.
Monitor computerized and manual student information records.
Perform general clerical functions (e.g. data entry, answering telephones, copying, etc.).
Provide support for staff in the use of the Student Information System to ensure accurate reporting, storage of information, and creating and disseminating information.
Respond to requests for school boundary information.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum one year experience as a secretary or administrative assistant. Basic experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and ability to type minimum 40 words per minute (applicants will be tested). Good written and oral communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PowerSchool (Student Information System Software), IFAS (Financial System Software) and ARCVIEW (GIS Software).
