Position Summary
Programmer to implement and manage a new content management system for many websites statewide. This includes working with the vendor to set up new templates and implementing the CMS and training staff around the state. This position also includes maintaining the CMS and making customizations as necessary. Applicant should have experience developing native mobile apps. Applicant must be able to work well with others and learn new programming languages quickly.

10% - work with graphic designers on new websites templates and mobile apps.
30% - implement a new content management system for many websites statewide.
20% - provide programming and IT website support for USU Extension.
30% - design and develop mobile apps.
10% - supervise a part time assistant.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate to non-technical customers.
*Excellent customer service skills.
*Ability to work with limited supervision, as well as collaboratively.
*Ability to multitask and meet deadlines on time.
*Experience creating native mobile apps.
*Comply with the IT core competencies. (http://it.usu.edu/core)
Preferred Qualifications
*Experience with XML and XSLT.
*Experience with setup and troubleshooting Web server environments, Linux/Apache or Windows/IIS
*Development experience using extensible web authoring tools
*Experience implementing and administering a Content Management System
*Solid understanding of Information Architecture and how it relates to large scale institutions
*Working knowledge of Appcelerator Titanium
