Job Description
DGS Store Fixtures, a national provider of fixtures, decór, graphics, displays and millwork for the country's largest retailers is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Senior Estimator.
The estimator is a key team player who is creative, innovative and versatile in developing and creating solutions for our key clients by accurately determining costs, including material, labor and overhead, consistent with overall DGS pricing strategy and profitability.
Job Description:
Candidate will review, interpret and understand customer RFQ’s.
Maintain knowledge of material usage.
Draw components in AutoCad.
Provide direct supervision and guidance to support team of engineers , designers and sales team.
Setup and maintain quote in ERP system.
Isolate any specialty items.
Interact with the client and DGS salesmen, helping with the fixture design, scheduling, value engineering when required and any concerns the client or salesmen may have.
Produce shop drawings and submit for approvals.
Produce cut lists for production.
Interact with production manager regarding scheduling, production and quality.
Attend kickoff meetings with department managers to discuss course of action to meet client’s needs and expectations.
Make sure production department always has the most current information.
Some travel within the nation is required.

Qualifications:
Ability to understand fixture drawings and floor plans.
Experience in expediting fast track projects.
Has a sound knowledge of the retail store fixture industry.
Installation experiences in the store fixture, millwork industry.
Firm grasp of Microsoft word, Excel and AutoCAD programs is a must.
Demonstrated hands on shop floor experience in both metal and wood manufacturing.
Knowledge of Visual Manufacturing software is a plus.
Has a proven ability to react quickly with positive results.
Education/Experience:
College degree or a minimum of 5 years experience in store fixture or architectural millwork.
2-3 years of experience in estimating in architectural millwork.
Proven leadership, organization, team, written/oral communications and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand fixture drawings and floor plans.
Experience in expediting fast track projects.
Has a sound knowledge of the retail store fixture industry.
