Job Description
Small law firm, working primarly in Family and Criminal law, is looking for a Receptionist/Paralegal with 1+ years experience in the legal industry. The Rescpionist/Paralegal in this role will be very hands-on with running the office. You will handle client/case intake, draft simple motions, pleadings, legal research, filings, trial preparation, some client billing, calendaring and answering phones. The candidate must be dependable and trustworthy as you will often run the office independently. Must take initiative, be self directed and have excellent organizational skills and can multi-task. You must be able to represent the firm well to its clients.
Requirements
Proficient in Word Perfect and Word
Type at least 50 wpm
Microsoft Office
Detail oriented
High knowledge of grammar and spelling
MUST be trustworthy and dependable
At least two years of college,
Paralegal Certificate (a PLUS!!)
