General Summary of Position
• GOAL ZERO is looking for a qualified Director of Supply Chain to drive the strategy and execution of a fast growing supply chain optimizing the cost, speed, quality, accuracy, timeliness, capital efficiency and coordination of product flow to seamlessly fulfill customer demand.
• The Director of Supply Chain will report to the COO and manage a team of 4-6 individuals

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
• Develop, drive and execute strategic supply chain initiatives and continuous improvement
• Implement and manage advanced techniques and methods for demand and supply forecasting
• Source components and suppliers to drive down cost and increase quality of products
• Ensure ERP, technology, and reporting is being optimized to drive transparency, cost controls, and efficiency of the supply chain
• Coordinate manufacturing activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of resources
• Establish and maintain production and quality control standards
• Optimize shipping, handling, and transportation costs
• Determine best methods of consolidating product in China for international-bound orders
• Develop a high-performing team
• Participate in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Masters Degree or MBA Preferred
5+ years in Supply Chain Management and/or Management Consulting
Practical Lean, Six Sigma skills preferred
Advanced modeling and simulation
Working knowledge of ERP, SCM, WMS systems
Accounting and Financial Controls knowledge
Proven leadership skills in developing high performing teams
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Has a propensity to smile, have fun and work hard
