Job Description
This individual will work with engineers, designers, product representatives and clients (architects, contractors, project owners) on various projects regarding electrical design and power design, lighting design, telecommunications, fire alarm, security systems, specifications and cost estimating. He/she will attend meetings, site work and will control overall management of projects. He/she will ensure that projects are in accordance with International Building Codes and/or IEEE standards.
This position is primarily responsible for coordinating, implementing, executing, controlling and completing projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals by performing the following duties core duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
• Lead planning and implementation of project.
• Interfaces with clients and sub-consultants.
• Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
• Defines project tasks and resource requirements.
• Develops full scale project plans.
• Coordinates with project staff.
• Manages project budget.
• Maintains overall project profitability.
• Manages the billings each month, coordination with the accounting dept.
• Helps in the collection of money, coordination with the accounting dept.
• Manages project hours and allocation.
• Plans and schedules project timelines.
• Tracks project deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Provides direction and support to project team.
• Participates in quality assurance.
• Is constantly monitored and report on progress of the project to KGE (Staff meetings) and the client.
• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
• Implement and manage project changes/scope changes.
• Participates in Project evaluations and assessment of results.
• Participates in Marketing, Client interaction and Client recruiting efforts.
• Helps and assists in writing fee proposals.
Compensation & Benefit:
• Salary, regular full time position (Exempt Status)

Required Qualifications include:
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 to 10+ yrs experience in the Architectural/Engineering, Consulting field.
• Understanding of International Building Codes and/or IEEE standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications include:
• Professional Engineering License or in pursuit to obtain.
• NICET Certificate.
• Certified as a LEED Accredited Professional, preferred.
• Experience with Power System Analysis and Protective Relaying.
• Experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Lite, or AutoCAD Design/Review, Revit/Bim or similar software programs.
• Experience with Switchboard and Motor Control Center Design.
• Experience with Medium Voltage Distribution Systems.
• Experience with Cable Tray Design.
• Experience with Lighting Design.
• Experience with Grounding Systems.
• Experience with Lightning/Storm Protection Systems and Fire Alarm Systems.
