Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of individuals who have disabilities as you advance the ongoing success of Recreation and Habilitation Services (RAH)by: promoting a positive public image, developing and maintaining funding sources and coordinating special events.

RAH is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides a variety of services and supports to individuals who have intellectual disabilities and their families.
We depend on community support, volunteers, donations, grants and fund-raising to operate. This newly created Public Relations & Development Director position is designed to help us further our mission of making a difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve by increasing our resources.

Responsibilities & Duties:
★Promote the organization through public contacts, media, written materials and electronic media
★Work with the Director and Board of Directors to meet the needs of the organization
★Develop and implement fund-raising strategies
★Create and maintain a donor database
★Foster relationships with partner organizations and potential donor organizations
★Grant writing and funding requests
★Plan and carry out fund-raisers and other special events
★Fulfill assignments and duties as directed by the Director and/or Board of Directors
Requirements
★Must be able to understand and support the organization and it’s mission
★2 + years of education and/or experience in fund-raising, public relations, business management, non-profit organizations and/or other related work is required
★Must be able to work effectively with the public & represent the organization in a positive way
★Must have reliable transportation
★Excellent oral & written communication skills are required
★Must be self-motivated and have the ability to follow through with assigned activities without direct supervision
★Must have good computer, database and financial reporting skills
★Have good organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects at one time
