Job Description
LITIGATION PARALEGAL
Strong and Hanni is growing and we are accepting resumes for an experienced Litigation paralegal
.
This position will assist lawyers in all stages of litigation and trial work, including the preparation of documents necessary for litigation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and interrogatories.
Assist lawyers by researching legal precedent, investigating facts, and preparing legal documents.
Conduct research to support a legal proceeding, to formulate a defense, cause of action and to initiate legal proceedings.
Preparation and organization of case research, notes, legal documents and client materials.
Gather and analyze research data, such as statutes, decisions, and legal articles, codes, and documents.
Coordinating research and verify the documents for accuracy.
Work directly with attorneys and clients.
Editing and proofreading legal documents; maintaining several calendars; researching, medical records, public and private records.
Perform other duties as requested.

Skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills are a must.
Must have experience in drafting complaints, motions, answers, and other pleadings, know local rules of court, perform legal research, correspondence etc.
Need to be well organized, have a professional presentation .
Excellent computer and organizational skills required.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, be self-motivated, be able to complete assignments with little supervision, with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
A great opportunity for a true professional.
Qualifications:
Three (3) years of work experience as a Litigation Paralegal is preferred.
Candidate should be highly skilled in reading, writing, use of proper grammar, spelling and punctuation; operating standard office equipment; legal research software, word processing, data entry, and spreadsheets. Must have sufficient knowledge of Utah and Federal court functions; policies, procedures and laws, codes, and regulations relevant to work performed.
Qualified candidates would also possess a positive, energetic proactive personality and be cooperative. Be able to have pleasant working relationships with clients, co-workers and with those contacted during the course of the job.
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; understand broad objectives and follow general instructions. Effectively prioritize and manage own work schedule independently.
Education and Experience Preferred:
Minimum of three years of Litigation Paralegal experience.
C.L.A. or C.P.P. Certification
Bachelor’s degree
