Certiport currently has three openings for Business Development Manager in the North American region for the B2C market, new markets and new solutions & products. The Business Development Manager is responsible for directly supporting Certiport’s North America Sales Team in meeting their annual sales goals and expanding the NOAM business through direct sales initiatives. Towards this effort, this person will identify and oversee the development of new and strategic certification-related products and solutions that meet specific needs of new and existing Certiport customers. These efforts will ultimately translate into qualified leads and successful attainment of Sales and Revenue goals of the NOAM Sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. 80% New Business Development (New Products/Solutions):
• Identify, develop and execute new strategic offerings that create definitive in-bound sales opportunities—ultimately leading to the North American (NOAM) Sales team successfully attaining their annual sales goals.
o Gather market intelligence through all available sources, attaining a command of market needs that remain unfulfilled.
o Coordinate and collaborate with Certiport Sales, Product Management, Marketing and Client Services teams to identify new product and solution opportunities that exist in markets and sectors served by Certiport.
o Plan, negotiate, lead and drive the development of newly identified solution opportunities, working through the various departments and functions at Certiport.
• Coordinate with the Marketing department to ensure proper and effective launch of new Certiport solution offerings.
• Coordinate with the Marketing department to identify and execute campaigns that will increase awareness of and interest in Certiport’s latest product and program offerings.
o Coordinate lead generation campaigns that will create a consistent flow of inbound Sales leads and opportunities relating to new products and programs.
2. 20% Other Duties:
• Execute other business development/management duties as assigned or developed.
• Optimize/maximize existing products or programs that are otherwise under-utilized, neglected or misdirected.
• Develop/Manage spiff promotions and sales incentives for the Sales team as related to new products and offerings.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
• 4+ years’ experience in business development, product management, marketing, or a related area
• 3+ years’ experience in licensure, certification and/or global computerized testing experience preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Knowledgeable of computerized testing business industry
• Knowledgeable of Certiport customer segments and market penetration in North America
• Knowledge of all aspects of the Certiport products and services sold in North America
• Familiar with typical Certiport marketing and promotional programs/offers in North America
• Knowledgeable of Certiport technology and systems
• Excellent business writing and proposal writing skills
• Persuasive and influential communication skills
• Relationship management and negotiating skills
