Title

IT Support Specialist

Wage Information

Part or Full Time --$14 - $19

Description

The IT Support Specialist’s role is to be part of a cheerful, positive team that provides excellent managed and end-user IT support to small and mid-sized computer networks. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing all desktop, server, and network hardware. The person will also diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support where required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, and networking hardware and software products.
• Receive and respond to incoming support tickets, and maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the support ticket system.
• Perform, test, and monitor routine system backups and restores.
• Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of IT equipment inventory and related documentation.
• Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team.

Knowledge & Experience & Other
• Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Windows and OSX (MAC).
• Considerable application support experience.
• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
• Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Reliable Transportation

Junior IT Support Specialist

Description

The Junior IT Support Specialist’s role is to be part of a cheerful, positive team that provides end-user IT support to an excellent educational institution, Wasatch Academy, in Sanpete County. This person will be responsible to diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training and support in a courteous, professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, operating system, as well as networked peripheral devices (printers, scanners, etc.)
• Receive and respond to incoming support tickets, and maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the support ticket system.
• Create, test, deploy and maintain image backups of standard Windows and OSX desktop configurations.
• Practice IT asset management, including maintenance of IT equipment inventory and related documentation.
• Assist Senior IT members in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving network and other IT-related issues.

Knowledge & Experience & Other
• Working technical knowledge computer operating systems, including Windows and OSX (MAC).
• Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
• Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
