We are looking for enthusiastic Banquet Servers at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building for banquets, business meetings, and receptions. 15-20 hours a week serving banquets and receptions. Sometimes more hours. An applicant needs to be available Monday through Saturday, for both day-time and evening shifts, but will probably be scheduled 3 times a week. It varies from week to week. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a must! The day shift is usually, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The night shift is usually 4:00 to 10:00 or 11:00 at night, or until the work is done. The work is fast-paced and physically demanding with lots of lifting, bending, cleaning and moping. A banquet server carries a loaded tray over their shoulder. The person must be able to communicate with guests in excellent English. Outstanding interpersonal skills, meticulous grooming for a conservative cliental. A High School graduate is preferred. Free meal, free uniform. Must abide by Temple Square Hospitality Corporation’s 100% smoke-free policy. The applicant for this job must be available to work continuously for at least the next eight months and preferably, year-round.
No experience necessary but a High School graduate is preferred.
