Job Description
1. Drive project initiatives so that development milestones and deadlines are met
2. Interact on a daily basis with vendors, procurement and manufacturing.
3. Thrive in a highly dynamic multitasking medical device development and manufacture environment
4. Demonstrate technical fluency in Solid Works, LE plastics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
5. Support a collaborative, knowledge-based product team environment.
6. Act as a leader and contributor in developing an environment of continuous improvement across product lines and development groups.
7. Analyze and provide feedback on peer designs in an open and collaborative design review forum.
Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Physics and 3-5 years experience Medical Device design and manufacture is preferred. Knowledge and experience developing manufacturing processes preferred. Course work and interest in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics a plus.
1. Experience with medical devices or volume manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
2. Demonstrated project engineering and leadership abilities.
3. Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
4. Strong communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of the organization.
5. Time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects involving a variety of resources with defined
deadlines/schedules.
6. Results-oriented with proven track record of driving projects to completion.
7. Attention to detail and a high level of initiative.
8. Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, SolidWorks preferred).
9. Familiarity with FDA regulations and essential requirements of the Medical Devices Directive (MOD).
10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
11. Ability to travel when required.
12. Strong Electrical, Mechanical, and Computer knowledge as it relates to production manufacturing equipment.
13. Experience designing and optimizing processes and documenting process controls.
14. Deslreable to have experience writing and executing equipment validations.
