Job Description
Hogan & Associates Construction has an immediate opening for a Payroll Clerk/HR Generalist. The successful candidate for our long-term payroll position will possess the ability to multitask, stay focused and produce results that are timely, accurate and error free. Excellent communication skills, relationship building and conflict resolution skills will be required to deal effectively with a wide range of personality types across our organization. The successful applicant will maintain professionalism and possess the ability to exercise good judgment with confidential and proprietary information.
Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to accomplish regular tasks, including:
• Managing and monitoring weekly time collection utilizing an integrated HR/Payroll system
• Processing payroll for work in various states
• Producing and reviewing accurate and timely filings for federal and state agencies
• Ensuring timely EFTPS deposits and that all payroll liabilities are met
• Complying with US Department of Labor regulations
• Understanding requirements for and reporting certified payroll
• Maintaining accuracy of payroll deductions and fringe benefits
• Preparing and keeping accurate and well-organized payroll files and records
In addition, working in our HR department, including:
• Providing analytical and specialized administrative support to the Human Resources Director
• Assisting with, or completing special projects
• Executing research and data analysis tasks, Analyzing problems, determining approach, compiling and analyzing data
• Preparing reports and recommendations
The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong prior experience with:
• Using common PC applications, including Excel and Word
• Multi-state payroll operation
• Enterprise-wide accounting systems
Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to accomplish regular tasks, including:
