Job Description
Maverik, Inc., a leader in the Convenience Store industry in the West is looking for a skilled Java Developer with web based user interface design/development. This position would work in Maverik corporate office located in North Salt Lake, UT.
Responsibilities:
* Designs and develops web application user interfaces. Develop both
front-end UI/JSP pages and necessary backend JAVA classes to support application.
* Willing to learn and develop portal application using Spring, JavaScript, and jQuery.
* Gather, document, and analyze business requirements in order to help
define scope of software development initiatives. May include web page
mock-ups and interaction prototyping.
* Produces and maintains documentation related to application software
(e.q. scope requirements, logical designs, technical designs, testing
plans).
* Develop web application functionality related to release schedules
and reporting functionality related to client needs and requests.
* Troubleshoot and implement bug fixes related to client and user reported issues.
Qualifications:
* 3+ years experience with Java development, implementation, and
maintenance of web/portal application systems.
* Knowledge of html, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS and jQuery.
* Knowledge in using Java-based design patterns and application
frameworks such as Spring, and Hibernate.
* Knowledge of Unit testing.
* Strong SQL skills and relational database knowledge, preferably
MS-SQL and PostGRES.
* Knowledge of J2EE technologies (JSP, Servlets, EJB and JDBC) are a
bonus, but not required.
* Knowledge of PHP is a bonus, but not required.
