Job Description
Bluehost is looking for a top notch quality assurance guru to lead our team of dedicated individuals through the testing of projects as well as a broad range of other tasks. Primarily the role requires one who can quickly make decisions based on knowing business logic/rules and the environment variables that are present. We want someone who can consistently evaluate the efficiency and quality of the department, looking for potential improvements and making changes as necessary. In addition, other department mangers and company leaders will depend on this QA manager to communicate with them in regards to projects updates, overall system health, and new project specifications.
*Provide team leadership and mentoring of the QA team members
*Prioritize and communicate critical issues to the correct person/department
*Maintain open communication between the QA department and the entire company
*Recognize problems and evaluate best possible solutions in a timely manner
*Overall understanding of all projects in QA or about to be in QA at any given time
*Prioritize projects ready for QA testing
*Complete projects (self and team) in a timely manner
*Maintain and improve quality testing standards and practices
*Bring industry best practices to help us continually improve and optimize our testing
*Work closely with developers, project and product managers
*Report to management as needed to review goals, priorities, new ideas, etc.
*Contribute new ideas aimed at adding quality and efficiency to the entire company

*Must be able to quickly and accurately establish priorities
*Experience with an industry leading bug tracking system (such as Bugzilla, Jira, Mantis,
Trac, etc.)
*Strong background in software quality assurance (ideally 10+ years)
*Strong management and leadership experience (ideally 3-5+ years)
*Experience with software technology firms
*Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
*Nice to have: experience with test automation tools (such as Selenium)
*Experience with an industry leading bug tracking system (such as Bugzilla, Jira, Mantis,
Trac, etc.)
*Strong background in software quality assurance (ideally 10+ years)
*Strong management and leadership experience (ideally 3-5+ years)
*Experience with software technology firms
*Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
*Nice to have: experience with test automation tools (such as Selenium)
