Job Description
Performs a full scope of activities associated with human resources & organizational training projects and programs. Coordinates, researches, analyzes and manages projects and special assignments. Conducts extensive research and analysis for special projects. Responsible for the acquisition and coordination of federal, state and private grants. Implements and coordinates activities and timelines for grants. Develops and coordinates all administrative training, new employee orientation, new supervisor orientation, and development programs specific to organizational needs. Conducts extensive training needs analysis, identifies organizational needs, and prepares costs associated with needs analysis. Ensures training program excellence which incorporates company goals and philosophies. Manages Learning Management Systems (LMS) as well as other training databases, applies technology related to training, and coordinates with Information Technology (IT) to develop technical solutions for training and testing. This is a skilled, professional level position requiring advanced, in depth knowledge of project management, research and analysis, training coordination, LMS and training databases and computer functions.
Requirements
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business Management or closely related field. Masters Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Three to five years’ work experience in training administration, one year project management experience. Experience working with databases, Learning Management Systems and Computer Based Training (CBT). Preference given to those with direct knowledge of SharePoint Learning Management. Experience acquiring and managing grants preferred. Experience managing vendor relationships is required. Must have classroom presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and A/V equipment. Must possess strong relationship building abilities and influencing skills to pull people together around common goals.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of federal, state, and local human resources laws and regulations.
2. Knowledge and application of project management processes.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with outside agencies, consultants, executive level managers, employees and community representatives.
4.Skilled in computer use and the application of a variety of associated software to include Learning Management Systems preferably in SharePoint and Adobe ELearning Suite to include Adobe Captivate and Scorm Packager. Skilled with Google Docs, Visio, and Publisher preferred.
5. Strong customer service and time management skills.
6. Possession of a valid Utah driver's license.

An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. [UTA reserves the right to determine the equivalencies of education and experience.]
