Job Description
We have an immediate opening for 2-3 full-time Associate Family Teachers to work in our Salt Lake Group Homes.

An Associate Family Teacher is a responsible person who is dedicated to teaching social skills to troubled youth in a residential setting. The Associate is reliable and completes his duties without having to be closely managed. An Associate focuses on building positive and healthy relationships with youth and is motivated to improve career opportunities by being open to and implementing feedback from the youths treatment team.


Minimum Requirements:
- Two years of College Education in a related field
- Pass a criminal background check
- Provide a copy of driving record and meet UYV insurance guidelines
- Ability to work nights and some weekends
- Ability to work 15 hour days when needed
Requirements
Responsibilities include:
- Teach social, academic, and independent living skills to youth using the teaching interactions of the Teaching Family Model.
- The hours will vary, the primary responsibility of an associate is to teach youth skills and to support the Family Teachers. A set work schedule will be made a month in advance.
- The Associate will be required to spend at least one night per week at the group home. He will be paid $25 each time he spends the night in the group home.
- The Family Teachers are the direct supervisors and will be the first resource when problems or questions arise.
- The Associate will be required to work 15 hour shifts while the Family Teachers are out of the home. If he works more than 40 hours in a week, then he will be paid time and half for hours worked over 40.
