Job Description
With moderate supervision this individual will perform basic bookkeeping, follow-up with account payable and receivable, maintain accurate vendor records and offer routine administration support for retail storeowners. Among other task that may arise this person will sort incoming mail, prepare reports, maintain and access on-line customer database, assist in event organization, filing, and occasionally answer incoming calls.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. A strong competence is needed in MS, Excel, Outlook and Internet functions. Experience with basic accounting software and skills a plus. Attention to detail, focus on accuracy and ability to complete tasks in a timely manner is extremely important. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills is required to communicate with vendors, customers and to answer the phones in a professional manner. This person must have excellent organizational skills and needs to be able to work well with others. An ability to multi-task and flexibility to change priorities as needed is a must. Must be self-motivated and interested in learning new skills. A broad working knowledge of standard office equipment is preferred and a background in retail is a plus.
