Job Description
Creates shop drawings for review, permit and installation according to standard specifications, local codes, ordinances, and the contracted scope of work.
Submits drawings for review and permits to approving authorities.
Creates various stock lists from fire sprinkler shop drawings.
Hydraulic calculations.
Attend project coordination meetings with contractor and all related sub-contractors.
Review all change requests from General Contractor and incorporates changes into design; forward changes affecting job costs to sales for change orders.
General office work,as assigned.

Requirements
Fundamental understanding of Fire Sprinkler System Design and Codes.
NICET Certification and/or work experience a plus, but is not required if Fire Sprinkler System Design was part of your education background
Proficient with the newer versions of AutoCAD, HyrdraCAD, and/or other fire sprinkler design software is a plus.
Ability to coordinate piping location with other trades, perform field surveys, and attend project meetings as required.
Fundamental understanding of general construction methods, practices, and terminology.
Possess effective written & oral communication and leadership skills.
Must be a responsible, organized, self-starter with a strong work ethic.
