Job Description
Individual will perform general clerical, secretarial, and office duties for the Botany Department. Duties will also include assistance with scheduling, acquiring supplies, working with a variety of computer programs, financial and general record-keeping. The position requires discretion, judgment, and the ability to maintain private and sensitive information.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications: High School/equivalent. Two years full-time related secretarial/clerical experience. Experience using computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet.

Preferred qualifications: Seeking applicants with moderate proficiency in PC applications including word processing, email, spreadsheets, and data management. Ability to organze, prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines with little supervision. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work as a team member. Strong organizational and record management skills. High level of professional judgment and confidentiality with ability to interface effectively with diverse clientele.

Work experience in a university/college environment is a plus.
