Job Description
We are seeking a front office receptionist/medical assistant with experience in the medical field to take patients back to rooms, take and input vitals, obtain medical histories, prepare paper and electronic files and assist providers with patient documents and visits. Duties also include checking out patients, scheduling appointments, obtaining authorization for testing, typing up notes, answering patient questions and responding to physician assignments. Other standard front office responsibilities and tasks typical of a medical office would also be expected.
Requirements
Experience working in a medical office setting and as a medical assistant is a must. Only high school graduates and those with a CNA or MA certificate will be considered for this position. We are looking for candidates with a friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills, an ability to tolerate heavy work load and a high stress environment, and good communication skills. Candidates should be highly dependable and reliable, organized and possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn new computer programs quickly and easily. Candidates should also enjoy working hands-on with patients and performing difficult tasks involving intricate steps.
