Job Description

Technical Sales Rep.
The technical sales rep. position performs a wide range of sales duties to maximize sales and promote long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities / Duties:
1. Develop relationships with existing and potential customers, including identifying new clients, communicating with new and existing clients remotely and in person.
2. Learn the key features and benefits of products and service offerings.
3. Develop and implement sales plans for target customers and key markets.
4. Work with customers to understand technical requirements, provide pre-sales technical assistance and make preliminary calculations to identify the appropriate product solution.
5. Acquire and respond to RFP’s, managing the complete sales cycle from initial inquiry, preparing and submitting quotations, follow-up, closing the sale, and after sales customer support.
6. Provide feedback to management and provide necessary marketing support.
7. Interface with the customer and support technicians to effectively communicate customer requirements.
8. Some travel is required.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience desired.
• Minimum of 2 years in a sales or sales support role.
• Proven track record of exceeding quota and business goals.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle objections.
• Previous telephone marketing/sales experience.
• Quick learner with demonstrated sales ability.
• Self-starter with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Persistent sales professional with cold calling experience.
• Excellent communication skills are required, both written and oral.
