Job Description
The Fire Captain performs a variety of advanced and first line supervisory Firefighting duties related to protecting life and property of City residents. Performs as a Station Officer. Serves as a department Speciality Officer in safety or training.
Requirements
Graduation from High School or equivalent GED.
3 years of experience as a Firefighter II, plus 1 year of specialized training in fire science, general management, etc.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid Utah drivers license.
Must be Utah State Fire Officer I certified.
Must be Utah EMT Intermediate certified.
Must be Hazmat certified (Operations Level).
Must be Utah State Fire Inspector I certified.
Must be Utah State Apparatus Driver Operator certified.
Must be Utah State Wildland certified within 1 year of hire.
