Job Description
Welder/Fitter
Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks and pressure vessels.
Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks and pressure vessels.
Requirements
Capable of welding tanks, components, equipment assemblies and pipework in flat, vertical or overhead positions. Capable of analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, fitting and welding operations with little or no supervision. Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align tanks, parts and assemblies. Capable of welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Must be able to work overtime. Must provide own hand tools. Capable in MIG, TIG, Dual Shield, Stick and Plasma welding and cutting. Skilled in use of power shear, press brake, drill press, grinders, sanders and hand tools. Must pass welding test. Experience required. Welding Certifications a plus.
