Job Description
United Subcontractors, Inc. (USI), a nationwide leader in the construction services industry has an opportunity available for an experienced Sales Support representative at our All Purpose Windows & Doors branch in Salt Lake City, UT.
USI has developed a well-diversified installation business with a broad product mix, a strong customer base and maintains a leading share in several large markets in the U.S. USI operates in two main product segments: Core USI (insulation products as well as a range of complementary products, including shelving, window and glass installation in several markets) and shell contracting.
Position Overview
The Sales Support representative is responsible for providing administrative support to the sales team at the branch. This is an ENTRY LEVEL administrative position, not a sales role.
Essential Functions
1. Using computer aided tools, quote and order windows for new construction jobs.
2. Communicate with manufacturers to aid in the quoting process via phone, face-to-face, email, and fax.
3. Prepare job proposals; order jobs once sold by the sales team.
4. Prepare and confirm job budgets
5. Maintain files of job related paperwork
6. Develop and manage positive working relationships with manufacturers and sales team.
7. Participate in on-going product and sales training programs
8. Projects as assigned

Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent; two-year degree is preferred.
- Professional appearance and courteous demeanor; upbeat, outgoing attitude.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; service oriented.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Typing/keyboard skills of 45 wpm, minimum.
- Proven organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Ability to give direction, adapt to change, establish relationships.
- Ability to manage through conflict, complexity and to problem solve issues.
- Negotiation/persuasion skills; ability to influence decision makers.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meeting required deadlines.
- Self-directed, takes initiative in seeking efficiencies of processes; follow-through on implementation.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interact with technically diverse groups.
- Customer service oriented; ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships.
