Job Description
Performs a variety of maintenance, software installation, end-user support and training tasks to ensure end-user workstations, servers, and network performance meet DSI and user’s requirements. This will be for users across North and South America. Based in Utah. Some travel needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements.
Installs hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives on users’ premises and remotely as needed.
Loads appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users’ requirements.
Provides telephone, in-person and online support to end-users.
Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication.
Administers e-mail and anti-virus systems.
Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
Administers end-user workstations and supports end-user activities utilizing TCP/IP on a primarily Microsoft Windows-based local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and remote access.
Investigates user problems and identifies their source; determines possible solutions; tests and implements solutions.
Installs, configures and maintains personal computers, Windows networks, file servers, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices and systems; adds or upgrades and configures disk drives, printers and related equipment.
Performs and/or oversees software and application installation and upgrades.
Maintains site licenses for department/organization.
Plans and implements network security, including maintaining firewalls, configuring VPN, managing host security, file permissions, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
Troubleshoots networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
Maintains confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
Provides computer orientation to new and existing company staff.
Communicates with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
.Other duties assigned to meet business needs.
Education and/or Requirements:
Bachelors degree in related field desired.
Qualifications:
3-5 years applicable work experience including pc systems, Windows server support and
administration
